Seit dem Ende der Serie ist Hauptdarsteller Will Smith in Filmen wie "Independence
Day" und "Bad Boys" zu sehen gewesen. |
In dieser Serie geht es um Will Smith (gespielt von
Will Smith), der - aufgewachsen als 'Streetkid' in Philadelphia - zu seiner Tante Vivian
und seinem Onkel Phil zieht, die in Bel Air, dem Nobelviertel von Los Angeles, eine Villa
besitzen.
Der Wechsel in die reiche und exklusive Welt seiner Verwandten
bietet natürlich Sprengstoff für unzählige Gags, die Will Smith und seine
ausgezeichneten Kollegen sehr witzig darstellen.
Da gibt es dann noch die oberflächliche Cousine Hilary, die nur
ans Einkaufen denkt. Und Cousin Carlton, den Streber, der sich immer Witze über seine
Größe anhören muß. Die kleine Cousine Ashley ist Wills Augapfel und wird von ihm
beschützt und gefördert.
Mit zur Familie gehört auch Butler Geoffrey, der den Haushalt
nach altem englischen Vorbild führt und dabei nie um einen Spruch verlegen ist.
